OUR BUSINESS
E&C is known as the de-facto standard for radio wave absorbers for cutting-edge testing facilities in Japan.
Founded in 1971, ECE started as a radio wave department of Emerson & Cuming Microwave Products. For half a century we have accumulated the experience and technical skills that uniquely enable us to support the requirements of radio wave test facilities across various industries.
In February 2019 ECE merged with CORNES Technologies Ltd., an electronics-related trading company, and its subsidiary, Microwave Factory Co., Ltd., that designs and manufactures radio wave testing facilities.

Corporate History
| June 1971 | We started as one of the businesses of radio wave department at Emerson & Cuming Japan K.K. and inherited 15 and more years of sales achievement in Japan accomplished by Emerson & Cuming, Inc. |

| November 1971 | We opened our Head Office and branch in Yokohama City and then started sales activity in full scale. |
| October 1974 | We opened a factory in Asahidai, Kuriyama-cho in Yubari-gun, Hokkaido. Manufacturing of radio wave absorber, RF shielding materials, and various dielectric material. |
| May 1978 | W. R. Grace & Co., an American chemical manufacturer, acquired all the stocks of Emerson & Cuming, Inc. |
| August 1985 | We inherited business as radio wave division in Grace Japan K.K., Japan Branch of W. R. Grace & Co. |
| October 1991 | We established E&C Engineering K.K. which took over Grace Japan K.K.’s goodwill, patent, and employees. |
| January 1992 | The new company started operating its business. |
| February 2019 | We merged with CORNES Technologies Ltd., an electronics-related trading company, and its subsidiary, Microwave Factory Co., Ltd., that designs and manufactures testing facilities related to radio wave in general. |
| January 2020 | Integrated with Microwave Factory K.K. and started operations under the group name of CORNES RF ENGINEERING. |
WHAT WE DO
- 1.Manufacture and distribute radio wave absorber and electromagnetic-wave shielding materials, as well as design, construct, instal, test and distribute testing rooms that use the materials above (anechoic chambers, shielded rooms, etc.)
- 2.Manufacture and distribute dielectric and magnetic materials
- 3.Design, manufacture, and distribute products in which dielectric and magnetic materials are used
- 4.Manufacture and distribute communication equipment, including antennas and antenna-related equipment
- 5.Technical consulting service related to the usage of the products mentioned above
